Jobs on iPhone/Touch Applications.

From the Wall Street Journal:

In the month since Apple opened an online software clearinghouse called the App Store, users have downloaded more than 60 million programs for the iPhone, Chief Executive Steve Jobs said in an interview at Apple’s headquarters. While most of those applications were free, Apple sold an average of $1 million a day in applications for a total of about $30 million in sales over the month, Mr. Jobs said.

Good news for Apple. Of the apps I’ve downloaded, there are about four that are really great—Twitterrific, OneTap Movies, Where To? and FileMagnet. One can only imagine that things are only going to get better as developers expand and update their current apps. Going forward, I’m really looking forward to Friendbook and can’t wait to see what else happens*.

*By see what else happens I mean I’m hoping Delicious Monster and Panic will release an app. Also, I really want to see Frenzic as a real app on the iPhone.
