The goal.

The other day, I sent out a little test for Twitter to see if anyone would reply to a question I had. No one did. This got me thinking that I could create a Twitter user named littlehelp that anyone could ask a question like so “@littlehelp best place to eat in New York”. littlehelp would receive the question and then spit it back out -@littlehelp and +@user so that anyone who followed littlehelp would receive the question and could answer the user. Follow? This should be relatively easy to do using Twitter’s API, a little ROR or PHP, and a database to capture the messages and spit out the stripped new message. Maybe I’m wrong, I have to think about it a little more and then get to work. I’m out of town for the rest of the week basically so if anyone with a little knowledge locally (that’s Regina and I’m thinking of one person in particular) wants to do a little work on it and help me out, that would be awesome. I think it would be pretty handy for people and “add value” to Twitter. I was thinking that there would be a way to add tags to them as well so if you wanted to store questions on your end and serve them up to categories you could do it like so “@littlehelp -food best place to eat in New York” which would make searching previous questions easier. Yep, this is what I do when my mind wanders.
