What’s it take?

Watching Season 2 of Saturday Night Live which really picks up after Bill Murray joins and Chevy “who finds this guy funny” Chase leaves. I’ve bought season one and two of Saturday Night Live because:

  • a) I find some of it funny (Bill Murray in particular)
  • b) Steve Martin hosts frequently
  • c) Andy Kaufman appears
  • d) I love Gilda Radner

    • It’s the final one there that is the main reason I buy and will continue to buy the sets. What I’m really looking for is Gilda Live but alas, it is unavailable on DVD. I’ve seen the movie 3 times when it was on satellite in my younger days and I’m not ashamed to say that during two of those viewings, I cried. I think she is one of the funniest women ever and I think it’s sad that she wasn’t more used on Saturday Night. Now, women play pretty big roles on the show but in the early days, they really got over looked. For more evidence of her brilliance, check out these clips on YouTube.
