Provincial politics, how exciting!
Saskatchewan’s provincial debate last night was just fantastic. If you like loud, obnoxious banter, you would have been well served last night on what was listed as a “Presidential Debate” on SaskTel Max’s listings. David Karwacki (who’s name always makes me think of a used car dealer) was boisterous and well, pretty f’n annoying. Yelling and screaming and just being an all around asshole. I for one would have been interested to hear what exactly Brad Wall and the Saskatchewan Party proposes for Enterprise Saskatchewan which to me seems kind of ominous but of course Karwacki wouldn’t let him answer Calvert’s question. Karwaki. Well, there goes the Liberal vote. Smooth move. Watching what I could, which admittedly was only about 45 min. of the debate (I really could not stand all the yelling), it seemed that Brad Wall was the most well spoken of the candidates and the most, um, respectful which hurts me to say because I think that their current trend towards more centrist policy is a load of shit that is likely aimed squarely at the fan. It will be interesting to see what happens this go around but I think it will likely be a Saskatchewan Party win.
